Guilherme Afonso (born November 15, 1985 in Luanda ) is an Angolan - Swiss football player , he plays in the position of a striker .
Career
Afonso started his career at Urania Geneva . For the 1995/96 season he moved to Étoile Carouge . Afonso stayed here until the 2003/04 season, when he first moved abroad to the French club ASOA Valence . After a season in France he moved to the Dutch first division club FC Twente Enschede . Here he was able to prevail in his second season and also scored his first two goals for Enschede. In January 2007 he joined BV Veendam . In Veendam he made 44 appearances and scored six goals until he broke his contract in September 2008. While looking for a club, he completed a. a. a trial session at FC Vaduz
Afonso has been playing for FC Sion since the beginning of 2009 , with whom he also won the Swiss Cup . In the final he also scored the 3-2 winner. In autumn 2009 he was loaned to Grasshoppers and in spring 2012 to FC Lugano .
