Thomas Schöck
Thomas Albrecht Heribert Schöck (* 1948 ) is a German university official.
Career
Schöck studied law and economics and was then a research assistant at the chair for German and international tax law, finance and budget law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .
After working in the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and in the Bavarian State Chancellery , he was Chancellor of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 1988 to 2014.
From October 1996 to September 1999 he was state spokesman for the chancellors of the Bavarian universities, from 1999 to 2000 deputy spokesman and from October 2000 to September 2003 spokesman for the chancellors of the German universities.
