Thomas Schlenz
Thomas Schlenz (born February 26, 1957 in Duisburg ) was a board member and labor director at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG and a member of the SPD .
Career
Schlenz completed his training as a machine fitter at the Meiderich shipyard in Duisburg . He has been with the ThyssenKrupp Group since 1979 . Here he worked as a works council, chairman of the works council and chairman of the general works council at several subsidiaries and held various supervisory board mandates, most recently as a member of the supervisory board of ThyssenKrupp AG. From 2001 to 2012 he was chairman of the group works council.
From October 1, 2012 to 2017, he took on the role of Executive Board member and Labor Director at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG , where he is responsible for Human Resources and Social Affairs .
