Thomas Wilhelmi (Germanist)
Thomas Gerhard Wilhelmi (* 1955 in Basel ) is a Swiss philologist and university professor.
Thomas Wilhelmi, Germanist and classical philologist, specialized in literature from the late Middle Ages and the early modern period as well as in book studies and editions. In 1995 he received his doctorate from the Free University of Berlin with an edition of the small texts by Sebastian Brant . Wilhelmi has worked at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences since 1996 , and since 2017 in the research project Correspondence between Southwest German Theologians 1550-1620 . In 2005 he received his habilitation. He is an associate professor for early modern German philology at Heidelberg University .
