Thomas von Stegmann is a former German basketball player .

career

In 1975 von Stegmann took part in the European championship round of this age group with the German national cadet team, a year later he was part of the German squad at the European Junior Championships.

From the 1976/77 game year until the early 1980s, von Stegmann was part of the TuS 04 Leverkusen Bundesliga team . In 1979 he became German champions with the Rhinelanders. He also played for Leverkusen in the European Cup.

Between 1975 and 1978 he played 19 full internationals for Germany.
