Thomson TO7-70

The Thomson TO7-70 was a home computer from France that was not widely used in Germany . It was the successor to the Thomson TO7 .

As a special feature, it housed a light pen under a flap above the keyboard . This was even supported by the operating system from the start. With it you could choose between different menu items (e.g. calibrate light pen, BASIC or cassette ) immediately after switching on, depending on the inserted modules and connected peripheral devices . To the left of the keyboard was a slot for plug-in modules , which was protected by a flap. This was opened by a push button and could be locked against unintentional opening by a slide switch. A programming language was not built in, but a BASIC module was included in the scope of delivery.
