Thoosa

Thoosa ( Greek Θόωσα ) was a sea nymph and a daughter of Phorkys in Greek mythology .

The sea god Poseidon fell in love with her and took her as a lover. Phorkys was very upset about this and he cursed the "brood" of the two. Thoosa gave birth to the sea god several Cyclopes , among them the famous Polyphemus .
