Thorsten Krings (2018)

Thorsten Krings (born July 17, 1968 in Buir ) is Professor of Personnel and Management at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Heilbronn .

Life

In the 1980s he published the comic magazine Comicurier . At the all-day high school in Osterburken, he passed the Abitur. After studying English and Middle and New History (Magister) in Heidelberg and completing his doctorate on a topic of literary history, he worked in various personnel functions in the Schwäbisch Hall Group, RAG Aktiengesellschaft , the Metro Group and the Merz Group . He has been a professor at DHBW since 2011. His research and publication focus lies in the areas of personnel selection and strategic personnel management. He is considered a sharp critic of Thomas Sattelberger , the HR Alliance and the Goinger Kreis, whom he accuses of orienting themselves too much towards socio-political issues and too little towards operational requirements. Krings works as a trainer and consultant. Krings has been a local political mandate holder of the FDP since 2019.
