Thread Island (from English thread 'Faden, Strang' ) is a narrow island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It belongs to the Rauer Islands and is located south of Lunnyj Island and northwest of Weavers Island .
Australian scientists named them descriptively.
