Thriller was a steel roller coaster that was originally a transportable roller coaster with four loops that was originally designed by Schwarzkopf GmbH for the showman company Oscar Bruch and opened on May 17, 1986. The track had a height of 33.53 m, a floor area of 78 × 38 m and reached a top speed of 85.3 km / h. However, there were occasional problems with passengers who were at the end of the vehicles because of the high g-forces . For this reason, the last rows have been closed to visitors. The track was the only modern roller coaster with almost circular loops, which is also the reason for the high acceleration values.

On December 7, 1997, the train had its last trip on European soil at the Hamburger Dom before it was sold to the American amusement park chain Six Flags . The new owners first built the track in Six Flags AstroWorld ( Texas ) as a Texas Tornado . After a few technical problems, the track layout was slightly modified in 2002, the appearance of the track was renewed and set up in the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom ( California ) as a Zonga , where it was dismantled again in 2006. From April 27, 2008, the former thriller turned seasonally under the name Tsunami in the Mexican park Isla San Marcos Parque Temático in Aguascalientes until it was closed in 2014.

In February 2016, the railway was finally dismantled and stored.

Plans to set up the railway in the German Skyline Park failed due to the high costs of adapting it to current safety regulations.
