The Skyline Park (also Allgäu Skyline Park ) is a Bavarian leisure park near Bad Wörishofen in the Unterallgäu district in Central Swabia. There are currently over 60 attractions in the areas of pure adrenaline , family hits , love whispers and fun for children . The park is run by the Löwenthal family of showmen .
history
The Skyline Park started in Stadtbergen near Augsburg . From 1975 to 1991 the Stadtbergen amusement park was located there on the site of the then Ziegelstadel. Today there is a paddock of a horse stud farm. There were disagreements with the lessor on the site there about the desired expansion plans, which is why the attractions and play equipment were moved to Bad Wörishofen. Until 1998, however, the park was called the Kirchdorf Leisure Park . There were several slides and cable cars, as well as several human-powered rides and an electric car track. In 1999 the opening took place under the name Skyline Park .
The park, which initially resembled a large playground, was bought by the Löwenthal family of showmen and significantly expanded in 1999. Since then, the park has expanded to three times the area and now has more than 33 hectares of built-up area. More than 60 attractions for all age groups are on offer, including the Sky Wheel , the highest overhead roller coaster in Europe. The last former ride from Stadtbergen, the Red Baron (not the ride from Mack Rides , just the same name), had its last season in 2017 and was then dismantled.

In 2017, the Skyline Park launched the Sky Dragster (which was originally supposed to open in 2016, but was delayed for technical reasons), the most powerful motorbike coaster with up to 1.3 G. Here the passengers determine their own speed. In addition, the largest transportable white water slide in the world comes to the park, which will be called "Wild water slide 2" from now on. During the Oktoberfest , however, the track will be set up in Munich and will not be available in the Skyline Park.
Another 5 innovations come from SBF / Visa: High Fly (rotating overhead swing), Zero Gravity (a kind of rotor), Kids Spin (small spinning coaster), Kids Cars (bounce spin), Sky Jump (bungee trampoline)

Events
The park offers various events that change with the season. In addition to smaller events at the start of the season, there are also larger events that have been established for years, such as a Halloween event lasting several days with horror mazes with live frighteners. Every year on August 14th the event "Skyline Park at Night" takes place, which annually attracts up to 20,000 visitors.
Awards
In 2005, the park was awarded the FKF-Award for innovation for the Sky Wheel roller coaster from the Freundeskreis Kirmes und Freizeitparks eV association . In 2011, Skyline Park received the award for the best price-performance ratio of all amusement parks in Europe from the independent theme park test team for the seventh time in a row, and the German Institute for Service Quality received the award for the best website from the German Institute for Service Quality of German amusement parks. In addition, the park received awards in 2016 in the categories “Best Value for Money” and “Best Gastronomy”. In addition, it received the rating “Particularly recommended for children” for the “Kids Farm”, the new farm play island in the eastern part of the park.
