history
Until the parish merger
Ober- and Unterrammingen belonged, among others, to the Fuggers and the Counts Toerring-Seefeld as part of Mattsie's rule, gifted with the spell of blood. The first mention of the noble family of the Lords of Rammingen (Ramunger) took place in 1147. Almost half a century earlier, the area around Rammingen appeared for the first time in a property document of the Weingarten Empire, which had acquired real estate in Rammingen in 1094 and later again around 1143. This connection to the monastery lasted until the secularization in Bavaria in 1802. In the Middle Ages the place belonged to the imperial rule Mattsies, which was owned by the Fuggers from 1598 to 1680. Later sovereign was then the Electorate of Bavaria. The political communities of Ober- and Unterrammingen were formed in 1818. On January 1, 1974, they were merged to form the community of Rammingen as part of the regional reform .

coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved by the government of Swabia on October 20, 1978.
Blazon : “Split; at the front again split by blue and gold with two ibex horns in mixed up colors, at the back two golden Reuthauen crossed diagonally in blue . "
For the history of the community, the Ramunger as a local noble family of the early times and the Reichsstift Weingarten are of particular importance because of its real estate in Rammingen, which was guaranteed in 1094 and 1143. Therefore the goat horns of the Ramunger were associated with the Reuthauen of the monastery coat of arms. The shield colors gold and blue in the split coat of arms are reminiscent of the long membership in Mattsie's imperial rule, which was owned by the Fugger family from 1598 to 1680.
The coat of arms was designed by the local curator Josef Striebel and designed by the heraldist Karl Haas from Kronach.
