Ettringen coat of arms
Blazon : "In silver, a growing red abbot's staff and a growing black grave stone, covered at the bottom with a blue wavy bar."

The historical development is represented symbolically in the municipal coat of arms of Ettringen by the symbol from the coat of arms of the Augsburg patrician family von Ostheim, the grave stone, because in the late Middle Ages this noble family was connected to the place for a long time through larger land holdings and from 1386 to 1490 the lordship in Place. The crook reminds of the church patron St. Martin in the parish church and St. Ottilia in the crypt chapel. Finally, the wavy bar symbolizes the Wertach flowing through the municipal marker.

The design and design of the coat of arms was carried out by Rudolf Mussgnug from Nördlingen.

flag

The flag was approved by the government of Swabia on September 2, 1975.
