The coat of arms was approved by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior on February 21, 1963 .
Blazon : “Split by silver and red; on a green three-mountain a rose bush split in confused colors with three flowers with golden clusters. "
At the beginning of the 12th century, the Welf ministerials of Wolfertschwenden, who were wealthy in the Iller area, donated considerable property in Winterrieden to the Benedictine monastery of Ochsenhausen, which was established by a deed of foundation from 1099. The right to present the parish Winterrieden also went to Ochsenhausen. Until the secularization of the monastery in 1803, over a period of 700 years, extremely close relationships existed between Winterrieden and the Ochsenhausen monastery. Abbot Benedikt Denzel (1737–1769), who had the parish church rebuilt in 1755, was particularly evident in the patronage's care. His coat of arms - in a shield split by silver and red, a rose bush with three flowers in confused colors - is located in the chancel arch of the church.
The design and design of the coat of arms comes from Nördlinger Rudolf Mussgnug.
