After several changes of ownership, the village belonged to Bartholomäus Welser from 1540 , who had a castle built there, which was demolished after 1775. Welser's heirs sold their property in 1601, which after further changes of ownership fell to the Steingaden monastery . coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved by decision of the government of Swabia on October 4, 1979.
Blazon : "Above a blue shield base, inside concentric, silver arcs (radio waves), split by silver and red with a heraldic lily in confused colors."
In the 16th century, the place was owned by the well-known Augsburg patrician family Welser, from whose coat of arms the heraldic lily was taken in confused colors. From 1972 to 2014, the strongest short-wave transmitter in Europe dominated the site, which is why the radio waves were displayed in the shield foot - in a heraldically convincing way.
Heinz C. Bessling from Hechendorfer designed and designed the coat of arms.
