Adalbert Keller

Adalbert Keller (* 1959 in Amberg ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Keller was born in Amberg in Swabia in 1959. After leaving school, he studied theology in Munich (diploma in 1988) and then obtained his doctorate in 1992 at the University of Augsburg on the subject of "Aurelius Augustinus and music: investigations into" De musica "in the context of his literature". In 1992 he received the Albertus Magnus Prize from the Diocese of Augsburg for this doctoral thesis .

In 1993, Keller was ordained a permanent deacon . Until 1997 he completed his habilitation with the topic “Developmental tendencies of church life in the Apostolic Constitutions”.

Keller is head of Catholic adult education in the Diocese of Augsburg and an adjunct professor for ancient church history , patrology and Christian archeology at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg . He also headed the Academic Forum of the Diocese of Augsburg .

He also works in the parish community of Türkheim (with Amberg, Irsingen and Wiedergeltingen) in the pastoral care of the parish. From September 1, 2018, he will also be head of the course chaplaincy in Bad Wörishofen .
