Thrombosis and Haemostasis , or Thromb for short . Haemostasis is a scientific journal published by Schattauer Verlag . The journal is the official publication organ of the following scientific societies: European Society of Cardiology , Società Italiana per lo Studio dell'Emostasi e della Thrombosi and Sociedad Española de Trombosis y Hemostasia . The first edition appeared in 1957 under the name Thrombosis et diathesis haemorrhagica: The Journal of blood coagulation . In 1976 the title was changed to the current one. The magazine is currently published monthly. Articles from all areas of research and clinical studies on thrombosis and hemostasis are published.

The impact factor was 4,984 in 2014. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks tenth out of 68 journals in the hematology category and eighth out of 60 journals in the peripheral vascular disease category.

Editor-in-chief are Christian Weber ( Ludwig Maximilians University Munich ) and Gregory YH Lip ( University of Birmingham , United Kingdom).
