The Thunersee Yachtclub (TYC) is a sailing club in Thun on Lake Thun near Bern (Switzerland).

In 1920 it was founded as the “Thunersee Sailing Association” and in 1922 it was renamed “Thunersee Yachtclub”. The Thunsersee Yacht Club has over 750 active members today. The shipyard area, directly on the water, taken over by Carl Furrer , has served as a club area for more than 50 years. It is located in Thun at the western end of Lake Thun and can be reached in around half an hour by car from Bern.

In its history, the club has produced various Swiss, European and world champions as well as Olympic participants, including Flavio Marazzi and Enrico De Maria .

The TYC is a member of the regional “Thun and Brienz Sailing Association” (TBSV) and “ Swiss Sailing ”.
