Tiberius Claudius Africanus

Tiberius Claudius Africanus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 1st century AD .

An inscription that was found at Syene and which is dated to 98/99, shows that Africanus was prefect of the Cohors I Hispanorum equitata , which was stationed in the province of Aegyptus at that time .
