Tiberius Claudius Severus Proculus

Tiberius Claudius Severus Proculus was a Roman politician and senator .

Proculus came from Pompeiopolis in Paphlagonia and was a son of Gnaeus Claudius Severus , who was consul in 173 , and of Annia Aurelia Galeria Faustina , a daughter of Emperor Mark Aurel . In 200 Proculus held the ordinary consulate.

Proculus was probably the father of Empress Annia Faustina , who married Pomponius Bassus in her first marriage and became Elagabal's third wife after the execution of her husband ordered by Emperor Elagabal .
