Tibia (in the spelling of the publisher TIBIA ) is a specialist journal for woodwinds . It serves both recorder and flute players as well as oboists and bassoonists as an information and discussion organ . Players of historical woodwind instruments, orchestra musicians and instrument makers also appear in this magazine with their topics. Tibia is published by Moeck Musikinstrumenten + Verlag Dr. Hermann Moeck in Celle. The magazine for friends of old and new woodwind music has been published since 1976, initially three times a year and later usually every quarter.

The magazine deals with performance issues with a view to woodwind instruments. At the same time, there are references to historical and current sheet music editions, pays tribute to interpreters and composers with a view to woodwind instruments, illuminates aspects of instrument making from antiquity to the present, provides information on important concerts, competitions and festivals and critically reflects on musical life.
