Tibor Sárai

Tibor Sárai (born May 10, 1919 in Budapest , † May 11, 1995 ) was a Hungarian composer.

Sárai was a student of Pál Kadosa . He was head of the music department at the Hungarian Ministry of National Education, from 1950 to 1953 head of the music department of the Hungarian radio and then until 1959 professor at the music school Béla Bartók .

He then worked as a professor at the Budapest Music Academy . From 1972 to 1978 he was a member of the UNESCO International Music Council . He composed a stage work, two symphonies , music for forty-five strings, a spring concert for flute, viola, cello and strings, chamber music works, vocal works and songs.
