Tick-Tock is a song by the Ukrainian singer Marija Yaremchuk . It was selected as part of the Ukrainian preliminary decision Фінал Національного відбору на Міжнародний пісенний конкурс "Євробачення 2014" to represent Ukraine at the 59th Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen .

In the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Yaremchuk was sixth with tick-tock and received 113 points.

Problems in the run-up to the Eurovision Song Contest

After the political changes in Ukraine, Marija Yaremchuk stated that she no longer wanted to sing the song. She found the song inappropriate and too happy for the situation. According to the rules, her wish could not be fulfilled and so the song that compares love with the stroke of the clock remained the contribution for Copenhagen.

In addition, the song was changed twice after the victory in the Ukrainian preliminary decision, as the first version received many negative reviews. The second version had a darker and more haunted tone, but it still received a lot of negative reviews. The final third version, which was also changed in the text, was published on March 17th and received many positive reviews.
