Holly Brooks (born April 17, 1982 in Seattle ) is an American cross-country skier .

Career

Brooks ran her first World Cup race in February 2010 in Canmore , which she finished with 24th place in the 10 km freestyle and thus also won her first World Cup points. Her best placings at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver were 35th place in the 30km mass start race and eleventh place in the relay. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo were 25th place in the 30 km mass start race and in the 15 km pursuit race and ninth place in the relay. The Tour de Ski 2011/12 and 2012/13 she finished with 39th and 38th place in the overall ranking. In February 2012 she won the American Birkebeiner over 52 km freestyle. In November 2012 in Gällivare she achieved her best result so far in a World Cup individual race with fifth place over 10 km freestyle with third place in the relay, her first and so far only podium in the World Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she finished 49th in the 15 km skiathlon and 27th in the 10 km freestyle. She finished the 2012/13 season in 35th place in the overall World Cup ranking and 27th in the distance ranking. Her best result at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi was 27th in the 30 km mass start race. In the 2014/15 season she competed in ski marathons. She won the Dolomitenlauf and the American Birkebeiner and finished the season in third place in the overall ranking of the Cross-Country Skiing Marathon Cup . Since 2009 she has also participated in the US Super Tour, which she won in 2011.
