Tiffany Jackson-Jones (born Tiffany Jackson on April 26, 1985 in Longview , Texas , United States ) is a professional basketball player . Most recently she played in 2015. She plays for the Tulsa Shock in the Women's National Basketball Association and for the Israeli team Maccabi Bnot .

Career

college

As Tiffany Jackson, she played from 2003 to 2007 for the "UT Longhorns", the women's basketball team at the University of Texas . In her first season in college, she was named National Freshman of the Year by ESPN.com. In 2007 she was also voted “All-American”.

Women's National Basketball Association

As Tiffany Jackson, she was selected in the 2007 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty in fifth place. In the 2007 season she was in all games of Liberty on the field, but never in the starting lineup. Jackson got an average of 13.9 minutes of play, in which she averaged 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds. In the 2008 season she got more time in the Liberty team and was able to increase most of the statistical values. This season she reached the Conference Finals for the first time with the team. In the 2009 season she was in the team's starting line-up for the first time. During the 2010 season, she moved to the Tulsa Shock team as part of a trade . There she received significantly more minutes and was also regularly in the team's starting line-up. Because of her pregnancy, she did not play a WNBA game in the 2012 season . After her pregnancy, both her stakes in the starting lineup and the minutes played were reduced. In her last season in Tulsa in 2015 , she reached the playoffs for the first time with the Shock team. In the 2016 season , Jackson-Jones did not play in the WNBA.

Up to this point, she played in 8 WNBA seasons in the regular season 199 games, she was 68 times in the starting lineup and scored 1360 points, 971 rebounds and 197 assists. In 5 playoff games she scored 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists.

Europe

Like many WNBA players, Jackson-Jones plays regularly in Europe during the WNBA season break. Since 2007 she has been on the field for France and Israel. Most recently she played for the Israeli club Maccabi Bnot in the 2016/17 season .

Private

She married in late 2011 and took her current surname Jackson-Jones. Because of her pregnancy, she did not play a WNBA game in the 2012 season .
