Till and Obel

From 1985 to 2000, Till & Obel were a Germany-wide very successful comedy trio, consisting of Klaus "Magic" Rüter (keyboard, replaced by Volker Wendland from 1994), Andreas Obering and Till Hoheneder , all three from Hamm in Westphalia.

Supported by their keyboardist, their musical stage programs were characterized by appropriate parodies and cover versions of international rock stars. After it was founded in 1985, its popularity quickly grew beyond the regional area. After an appearance in the springboard theater in Cologne in 1990, further television appearances followed on ZDF and RTL , and in 1991 they received their own television show on RTL: "The Till & Obel Show". In 1993 the trio separated temporarily, from 1994 Till and Obel continued their successful series, now with keyboardist Volker Wendland. In 1996 Till & Obel were the first comedians to appear at the Rockpalast . After more than 1000 live performances, the group finally split up in 2000.
