Tim Goebel

Tim Goebel (born March 4, 1982 ) is a former German athlete who specialized in the 100-meter run .

Goebel celebrated his greatest sporting successes in 2001 wearing the ASV Köln jersey . That year he became German champion in the 60-meter run and the 100-meter run. He also won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Grosseto over 100 meters. He also achieved his best placement at an international championship in the active class with sixth place in the 60-meter run at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon .

After Goebel was largely incapacitated by injuries in the 2002 season, he moved to TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the end of the year . He has been looked after by the local trainer Gerd Osenberg since spring . In 2003 Goebel became German champion in the 60-meter run for the third time after 2000 and 2001. Over the same distance, he finished seventh at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2005 in Madrid.

After the 2007 season, Goebel ended his competitive sports career for family reasons.
