Tim Skold (actually Thim Sköld ) (born December 14, 1966 in Skövde , Sweden ) is a Swedish musician. He plays bass guitar and guitar , sings and works in the recording studio.

Before his music career, Tim worked at Volvo and was in the Swedish army. In 1980 he founded the glam metal band Kingpin with three other members and released his first album with it. In 1989 the name Kingpin was changed to Shotgun Messiah .

After his solo album Skold (1996), he first played in the industrial rock band KMFDM . After the temporary dissolution of KMFDM, Tim Skold continued his work with Sascha Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli as MDFMK . In 2002 he took the place as bassist and co-producer with Marilyn Manson after longtime Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez left the band due to other artistic goals. After John 5 left in 2004, Skold also took over the guitar part at Manson. After Ramirez's return in January 2008, Manson split from Tim Skold.
