biography
Jeordie White was born on June 20, 1971 in New Jersey to a dancer. He grew up in simple circumstances with his mother and his three younger brothers Ayden, Dustin and Westly.
On October 20, 2017, he was accused of domestic violence and rape by his ex-girlfriend Jessicka Addams , with whom he was dating until 1994. She also stated that she was not White's only victim, as several women had contacted her who had also been abused by him.
Career
Marilyn Manson
White met Brian Hugh Warner , the lead singer of Marilyn Manson, in 1989 at a Fort Lauderdale mall . Since he was still in the band Amboog-A-Lard at that time , in which he played rhythm guitar and won a prize for it, he did not switch to Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. When Warner threw the then bassist Gidget Gein from the band in 1994 due to his heroin addiction before the release of the first album Portrait of an American Family , he was replaced by Jeordie White.
He left the band on May 29, 2002 because the stay had become too routine for him and he wanted to venture into new musical territory. In an interview, White said he and Warner are still friends, but they are now going their separate ways.
On January 9, 2008, the band confirmed on their official website that Jeordie White had rejoined the band. From January 19 to March 2, 2008, White took part in Marilyn Manson's Rape-of-the-World 2008 tour.
After being charged with rape and domestic violence in October 2017, Marilyn Manson announced the split from White.
A perfect circle
After leaving, he first played in the punk band Mondo Generator and applied for the band Queens of the Stone Age as a rhythm guitarist. Troy Van Leeuwen , who previously played in A Perfect Circle, got the job and White applied to the band.
Together with the band he recorded the two albums Thirteenth Step and eMOTIVe . On the following tours, White took up his post as bassist.
Goon moon
At the same time - after White's departure from Marilyn Manson in May 2002 - there was a collaboration with the singer Chris Goss of Master of Reality , who was also a producer on Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss . Together with Goss and some guest musicians - including drummer Josh Freese , who had already played drums for A Perfect Circle and Nine Inch Nails - the album I Got a Brand New Egg Layin 'Machine was recorded in 2005 and the two years later CD Licker's Last Leg . The band only played in smaller clubs within the USA and gave only a few concerts.
Nine inch nails
White took part in the production of Nine Inch Nails' fifth album With Teeth and supported the band on the following tour. Also on the album Year Zero , which came out in 2007, White worked with and took part in the tour for it. After the last concert on September 18, 2007 in Hawaii , Honolulu , Reznor stated that the band was separating from the current line-up and that they would go their separate ways in the future.
