Robert John "Robin" Finck (born November 7, 1971 in Park Ridge , New Jersey ) is an American guitarist . He became known through the bands Nine Inch Nails and Guns N 'Roses .

Career

Finck grew up in Marietta, Georgia and played in unknown bands there. In 1994 he became a tour member (no official attribution) with Nine Inch Nails. After some releases and appearances (including Woodstock II ) he left the band and joined the upheaval band Guns N 'Roses to replace Slash there.

The release of Oh My God , which was released in the US in 1999, was followed by a tour in 2001. In 2004 Buckethead resigned from the band, which threatened the band to fall apart again. Guns N 'Roses went on tour in 2006, ended it in 2007 and temporarily broke up. The album Chinese Democracy was not released until then.

In 2008 Finck began touring again with Nine Inch Nails. In the same year the Guns-N'-Roses album Chinese Democracy was released. Finck was no longer officially named as a member of the Guns N 'Roses band.
