Ole Beich

Ole Beich (* 1955 in Esbjerg , Denmark ; † October 16, 1991 in Copenhagen ) was the bassist and co-founder of the American rock bands Guns N 'Roses and LA Guns .

Life

Ole was born in Esbjerg in 1955 to Shaft Beich . As a child he discovered his passion for music and therefore learned to play bass and guitar . He later met Axl Rose ; with him and with Tracii Guns , Izzy Stradlin and Rob Gardener he founded Guns N 'Roses. Beich left Guns N 'Roses in 1985 after just one appearance. Duff McKagan from Seattle became the new bass player .

Ole Beich was 36 years old. He died on October 16, 1991 when he drowned in Sankt Jørgens Lake in Copenhagen. On August 19, 1991 Guns N 'Roses were supposed to have a gig in town. Beich's parents suspected that Ole developed depression after he left Guns N 'Roses in 1985. At his death, according to the autopsy report, there was heroin in his blood and an alcohol concentration of 1.48 ‰.
