Frank Ferrer
Frank Ferrer (born March 25, 1966 ) is an American drummer . He has been a drummer with Guns N 'Roses since 2006 .
Life
He lived in New York as a child and started making music after attending a concert by the rock band Kiss at the age of 11 . In 1992 he joined the band Love Spit Love , where he first met Richard Fortus . Fortus joined Guns N 'Roses in 1997 to replace Gilby Clarke , and in 2000 Love Spit Love broke up. Ferrer was also a member of The Psychedelic Furs and The Beautiful . He also toured with Doro Pesch and Nena - the contact to Nena came through Richard Fortus, who recorded the Nena double album Willst du mit mir gehtn as guitarist in 2005 and also played guitar on the tour of the same name. In 2006 Fortus asked him if he would like to replace Bryan Mantia at Guns N 'Roses for a few concerts , as he was with his pregnant wife. Ferrer agreed and was eventually accepted into the band. Both drummers can be heard on the long-awaited 2008 album Chinese Democracy . In the same year Mantia left Guns N 'Roses. Ferrer has been the band's permanent drummer ever since.
