Richard Patrick (born May 10, 1968 in Bay Village , Ohio ) is an American singer and member of the band Filter and was guitarist for Nine Inch Nails until 1992 . He is the younger brother of the actor Robert Patrick .

Career

Richard Patrick was born on May 10, 1968 with his twin sister Cheri. Patrick has been playing the guitar since he was nine and lists U2 and The Cure as his main influences. He attended Bay High School in Bay Village, Ohio and graduated from high school in 1987. On the Hate 1990 tour he was guitarist for Nine Inch Nails . In 1992 he got out and formed together with another ex-member of the band, Brian Liesegang, the group Filter , which has released seven albums so far.
