history

The band was formed in 2002 after Jeordie White left Marilyn Manson , where he played bass from 1994 to 2002. Together with Chris Goss, they founded the band to break new ground in music and not to subscribe to a fixed musical style. Before founding himself, Goss had made a name for himself in the music scene as both the singer of the band Masters of Reality and the producer of Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age .

In 2005 they released their debut album, I Got a Brand New Egg Layin 'Machine , on which Zach Hill helped as drummer, on the record label Suicide Squeeze Records .

On May 8, 2007, their second album was released under the name Licker's Last Leg . It was recorded by the record label Ipecac Recordings and features several guest musicians, including drummer Josh Freese , who has played drums for A Perfect Circle and Nine Inch Nails , among others .

At the moment, Goon Moon is making the latest songs and videos from the new album available on the broadcast site YouTube for free viewing and listening.

Goon Moon are currently performing in various small clubs in San Francisco and other American states. Performances in Europe or other countries are not yet planned.

style

The band's sound is heavily based on the 1960s through to the beginning of the 21st century. Audible influences of hippie and gothic rock vary from title to title.
