Heinrich Stooß
Heinrich Gottlob Stooß (born April 14, 1896 in Radelstetten ; † May 19, 1971 in Geislingen an der Steige ; also Heinrich Stooss ) was a German farmer and politician ( WBWB , later CDU ).
Life and work
Stooß was born the son of a farmer. After attending elementary school, he did practical work in agriculture, first attending an agricultural school and from 1920 to 1922 the Hohenheim Agricultural University . In 1930 he took over his parents' business and was also a member of the management committee of the Württemberg Chamber of Agriculture .
In 1945/46 Stooß was director of the Department of Food and Agriculture in the Ministry of Economics of the State of Württemberg-Baden . From 1952 to 1968 he acted as president of the state farmers 'association Württemberg-Baden , was president of the working group of Baden-Württemberg farmers' associations and worked as a board member and board member in various organizations and institutions. He was also a member of the Broadcasting Council of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR).
Political party
During the time of the Weimar Republic , Stooß was a member of the Württemberg Farmers and Vineyards Association (WBWB), which worked closely with the Württemberg state association of the DNVP , the Citizens' Party . After the Second World War , Stooß joined the CDU.
MP
From 1926 to 1933, Stooß was a member of the Württemberg state parliament for the WBWB , and from 1932/33 as a guest of the NSDAP faction.
After the end of the war, Stooß was a member of the provisional parliament and the state constitutional assembly in Württemberg-Baden in 1946 . In November 1946 he was elected as a member of the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden through constituency 25 (Ulm) , and in November 1950 he was elected through constituency 3 (Backnang). He was a member of parliament until 1952. Afterwards he was a member of the Constituent State Assembly for Baden-Württemberg . From 1953 until his resignation on December 19, 1961, he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and there from 1956 to 1961 deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. In parliament he represented the constituency of Ulm-Land.
In the 1961 Bundestag election he was elected to the German Bundestag , to which he belonged until 1969. In parliament he represented the constituency of Crailsheim .
Public offices
From December 16, 1946 to January 11, 1951, Stooß served as Minister for Food and Agriculture in the government of the State of Württemberg-Baden led by Prime Minister Reinhold Maier .
