Ipecac Recordings
Ipecac Recordings is an American independent record label based in Orinda , California.
The label was founded in 1999 by Mike Patton and Greg Werckman in Alameda , California . It was created to release borderline music. The first Fantômas album was released on Ipecac to illustrate this orientation of the label, as well as to have a first popular figurehead .
The label was named after Ipecacuanha , the so-called break - root ; As a subtitle it has the slogan Making people sick since 1999 .
