history

The real history of the band goes back to 1989, when bassist Shane Embury and singer Kevin Sharp met in New York City at a Napalm Death concert at the CBGB and were friends from then on. In February 2004 they met again on the The Art of Noise tour, on which Nile , Strapping Young Lad , Dark Tranquility and The Berzerker were represented in addition to Napalm Death . They decided to found the band Venomous Concept. Guitarist became Buzz Osborne , drummer Danny Herrera . In 2004 they released their debut album Retroactive Abortion on Mike Patton's label Ipecac Recordings .

This was followed by an appearance at The Double Door in Chicago . In 2007 guitarist Osborne left the band because he had to devote himself to his other band The Melvins. Bassist Embury took over the position of guitarist, while Danny Lilker became the band's new bassist. Then the band went back to the studio to record the next album Poisoned Apple , which was released through Century Media .
