Timm Kregel

Timm Kregel (* 1957 in Leipzig ) is a German visual artist. He works as a painter, graphic artist and sculptor.

Life

After graduating from high school, Timm Kregel first studied interior design at the University of Art and Design in Halle on Burg Giebichenstein . Then from 1980–81 puppet making at the puppet theater in Halle and finally from 1981–86 painting and graphics with Professor Frank Ruddigkeit at the University of Art and Design / Halle. From 1988–1996 Kregel received a teaching position for graphics at the same university at Burg Giebichstein. Since 1989 various solo exhibitions and participation in exhibitions at home and abroad.

In a speech on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition “Timm Kregel - The Beeches of Beleveder” in the Galerie Profil, Weimar 2008, Cornelie Becker-Lamers wrote: “The works of Timm Kregels thematize the balance: the balance between two dualistic elements as well as the balance of imperfect dualism with Trinitarian perfection.
