Timo P. Nieminen
Timo Paavo Tapani Nieminen (born January 20, 1944 in Turku ) is a Finnish politician and since 2007 mayor of Tampere , the third largest city in Finland. He is a member of the National Collection Party .
Nieminen has been a member of Tampere City Council since 1973. With his election as mayor, he replaced Jarmo Rantanen, who had been in office since 1985 .
Nieminen is married and has two sons.
