Timothy Taylor (chess player)

Timothy Taylor (born February 9, 1953 ) is an American chess player , writer and director.

Life

In 1977 he won the US Open together with Leonid Schamkowitsch and Andrew Soltis . In 1978 he played for the US national team at the U26 World Cup in Mexico City on the second reserve board. He has held the title of International Master since 1982 . His highest rating was 2480 in 1985.

Timothy Taylor pursues other interests besides chess: He is also the author of the novels "Elaine the Fair" and "Amanda" and the director of the film "Wicked Pursuits".
