Tina Kotek
Tina Kotek (born September 30, 1966 in York , Pennsylvania ) is an American politician from the state of Oregon .
Tina Kotek has been representing the Democratic Party for constituency 44 (North & Northeast Portland ) in the Oregon House of Representatives since January 2007 after an unsuccessful candidacy in 2004 . After the Democrats had gained the majority in the 2012 election, Kotek became the spokesperson (Speaker) of the House of Representatives from Oregon chosen.
Kotek is currently the only openly gay MP in Oregon Parliament. Her campaign was supported by the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund , which works to get self-confessed homosexuals into political office in the United States.
