Tioulong Saumura
Tioulong Saumura (born July 9, 1950 in Phnom Penh ) is a Cambodian politician . She has been married to the opposition politician Sam Rainsy since 1971 . She currently lives in Phnom Penh and has three children.
She studied political science in Paris in the 1970s and also has an MBA . From 1976 to 1982 she worked for the Indosuez Bank in Paris. She then worked for the Robert Fleming Investment Bank (1982 to 1988) and the investment company MOBICO (1989 to 1993), both also in Paris. From 1993 to 1995 she was deputy head of the Cambodian National Bank.
Her political career began in 1981 in the FUNCINPEC party . In 1995 she switched to the Khmer Nation Party (KNP), where she was a member of the Presidium from 1996 to 1998. Since 1998, she is sitting in the presidium of the Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) and for these deputies in the Cambodian National Assembly.
