The wasps have a body length of 10 to 13 millimeters (females) or 9 to 12 millimeters (males). The animals are colored black. The thighs ( femora ) of the two rear pairs of legs are more thickened in females than in males. The splints ( tibia ) are thorny. The forewings have two discoidal cells and two cubital cells.
