Tyrolean state museums

The Tiroler Landesmuseen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH is the sponsoring company of four museums, a church and a collection and research center. The Tyrolean Provincial Museum Ferdinandeum, the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum , the Hofkirche (Innsbruck) , the Zeughaus (Innsbruck) and Das Tirol Panorama are managed by the company and are open to the public . The depot in Hall in Tirol is not open to the public.

The state of Tyrol holds 60%, the association Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum 40% shares in the company. Wolfgang Meighörner was appointed managing director in October 2006 and started his service in the newly founded company at the beginning of 2007. On November 1, 2019, Peter Assmann took over the management.

History of houses

In 2007, the Tyrolean state museum Ferdinandeum was merged with the armory, the Tyrolean folk art museum, the court church, the Kaiserschützenmuseum and the folk song archive. The Tirol Panorama with the Kaiserjägermuseum has also been part of the operating company since 2011. The collection and research center (SFZ) in Hall in Tirol was completed in 2017 and started operations in 2018.
