The Tirtsi River (Estonian: Tirtsi jõgi ) is a river on the Saaremaa island in Estonia . Its length is 13 km, its catchment area 46.9 km².

The river has its source about 1.5 km north of the village of Sauvere . It flows into the Bay of Küdema in the Baltic Sea .

Despite its summer temperature of around 21 ° C, the river is known for its abundance of brown trout and crayfish .
