Titular Archdiocese of Hierapolis in Syria Graecorum Melkitarum
Hierapolis in Syria Graecorum Melkitarum ( Italian : Gerapoli di Siria dei Greco-Melkiti ) is a titular archbishopric that is awarded by the Pope to titular archbishops from the Melkite Greek Catholic Church united with Rome .
It goes back to a lost bishop's seat in the ancient city of Hierapolis Bambyke , which was in the Roman province of Syria Coele or in late antiquity Syria Euphratensis .
