Titular council

Titular councilor used to be that council title that did not indicate a specific office .

As a titular council were thus seen:

• the council ,
• the councilor ,
• the chancellery ,
• the council of commerce ,
• the commission council ,
• the board of accounts etc.

The titular council was in the fifth class of councils, the secret court councilor, councilor, etc. in the fourth class.
