Konrad Loewe
Konrad Loewe (born February 6, 1856 in Proßnitz , Moravia , † February 11, 1912 in Vienna ; own Konrad Löw ) was an Austrian actor and playwright.
The merchant's son studied in Vienna jurisprudence , but moved in 1878 to the stage. After stays in Teplitz and Olomouc, he came to the Royal National Theater in Berlin in 1881 and then played at numerous other theaters in Germany and Austria. In 1895 he finally became a Burgtheater actor at the kk Hof-Burgtheater in Vienna. His mostly heroic roles include the characters of Gessler , Musikus Miller , Karl Moor , Stauffacher , Hamlet , Narcissus and others.
He found his final resting place in an honorary grave in the Döblinger Friedhof in Vienna (group 37, row 4, number 10). His wife, the court opera singer Mathilde Loewe , is buried next to him.
