Titus Otacilius Crassus (Consul 261 BC)

Titus Otacilius Crassus was a Roman politician in the early stages of the First Punic War .

Otacilius was born two years after his brother along with Lucius Valerius Flaccus in 261 BC. Chr. To Consul selected. Both consuls continued the Roman operations in Sicily against the Carthaginians . Otacilius killed 4,000 Gallic Carthaginian mercenaries who allegedly wanted to overflow to the Roman side.

Otacilius was married to the wife of Marcus Claudius Marcellus , the father of the famous general . His son of the same name , who fought in the Second Punic War , was therefore his half-brother.
