Ellerndorf is a district of Eimke in the Uelzen district in Lower Saxony . The place is characterized by agriculture. It has about 175 inhabitants and is 1 kilometer north of Eimke.

Ellerndorfer Juniper Heath

The Ellerndorfer Juniper Heath is a special attraction here . The highest point is the Tonhopsberg (103 meters).

Most of the forest areas around Ellerndorf and Eimke belong to the Unterlüß shooting range of the Rheinmetall company and the Lintzel district forester of the Oerrel Forestry Office in Lower Saxony. In addition, there is a former hunting seat of Alexander Jahr , the heir of the publishing house Gruner + Jahr and an independent publisher , in the Ellerndorfer Wacholderheide .

On July 1, 1972, Ellerndorf was incorporated into the municipality of Eimke.
